Scottish SPCA launches biggest ever fundraising weekend for World Animal Day

The Scottish SPCA is marking World Animal Day 2025 with its biggest ever street collection, taking place across Scotland on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th October.

So far, 33 collections across 15 council areas have been confirmed, with volunteers and colleagues giving up their time to raise vital funds and awareness for Scotland’s animals.

On average, SPCA inspectors respond to 21 new reports of abuse every single day. Alongside this vital rescue work, the team are out in communities offering preventative support from pet food aid and free veterinary checks at our community hubs to partnerships with organisations such as SAMH and Simon Community Scotland, recognising that the wellbeing of animals and people is deeply connected.

For almost two centuries, the Scottish SPCA has been there for Scotland’s animals. But the demand for our services has never been greater. Every rescue, every investigation and every meal provided is only possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

This World Animal Day, the Scottish SPCA is asking people across Scotland to come together and help make Scotland the best place in the world for an animal to call home.
